More Than a Meal
Hawa Yusuf, 55, lives alone in a refugee camp in Mogadishu, Somalia, facing life with a disability and the loss of her family. This past Eid was once a day of longing: no meat, no celebration, only reminders of hardship. But when our Udhiyah-Qurbani program reached her camp, everything changed. For the first time in years, Hawa cooked and shared a festive meal with her neighbors. The meat nourished more than her body; it uplifted her spirit, fostered community, and gave Hawa dignity, belonging, and renewed hope.
