CHICAGO, IL: On World Children’s Day, Zakat Foundation of America, along with the global community, recognizes the rights of every child to safety, education, healthcare, and hope. This day, marking the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, reminds us that children, especially orphans and those living in conflict zones, deserve more than survival; they deserve the chance to thrive with dignity.

At Zakat Foundation of America, we are responding to this urgent call through our Orphan Care program, which provides life-saving support to vulnerable children in 24 countries, including emergency-affected Syria, Palestine, Yemen, Sudan, and Somalia. Through daily meals, education, healthcare, mentorship, and emotional support, we ensure orphans are not left behind in their time of need.

With the launch of our “10,000 Orphans Sponsorship Campaign”, we are inviting supporters to transform the lives of orphaned children by the end of 2025. Each sponsorship empowers children to rise above poverty, conflict, and instability, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Quality Education, Zero Hunger, Good Health, and Reduced Inequalities.

On this World Children’s Day, communities and donors worldwide are called to stand with orphaned children. Support provides them with safety, hope, and a future full of possibility. Together, no child is forgotten, no dream is left behind, and every child can thrive.
