ISLAMABAD: During the holy month of Ramadan, the Social Cooperation Initiative (SCI), in heartfelt collaboration with the Zakat Foundation of America, launched a targeted relief campaign to support those often left in the shadows of society.

At Jinnah Garden, SCI distributed specialized Ramadan food packages to families and individuals who were struggling to secure their next meal.

While many charitable drives focused on broader communities, this campaign was specifically designed to reach individuals facing extreme social and economic exclusion. Under the leadership of Sajjad Hussan Malik (CEO – SCI), outreach teams conducted direct field visits to identify and register widows, members of the transgender community, and homeless individuals who were most in need of assistance.

Mr. Malik also said, that such initiatives represented more than short-term relief. Known for his consistent dedication to humanitarian causes, he viewed this effort not simply as the distribution of food, but as a meaningful step toward restoring dignity, compassion, and long-term social inclusion.

Through this collaboration, SCI and the Zakat Foundation of America aimed to ensure that the true spirit of Ramadan, empathy, sacrifice, and community reached every corner of the city, from the organized streets of the capital to the vulnerable spaces beneath its bridges.
