Islamabad, January 30, 2026 – Social Cooperation Initiative (SCI) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Zakat Foundation of America (ZFA) on January 30, 2026. This MOU formalizes a partnership aimed at strengthening collaborative efforts in humanitarian assistance, social development, and community empowerment initiatives in Pakistan.
The partnership will focus on programs targeting vulnerable populations, including women, children, and marginalized communities, ensuring access to essential services and support. This collaboration highlights the commitment of both organizations to sustainable development, poverty alleviation, and social welfare.
Speaking on the occasion, SCI CEO Sajjad Hussain Malik said, “This partnership with the Zakat Foundation of America will allow us to reach more communities in need and implement impactful programs that promote health, education, and social development. We are excited to work together for meaningful change.”
ZFA Country Director Dr. Fazal Ur Rehman added, “Our collaboration with SCI represents a shared vision for empowering communities and providing timely support to those who need it most. Together, we can expand the reach and effectiveness of our humanitarian efforts.”
The MOU marks the beginning of a long-term strategic partnership between SCI and ZFA, emphasizing transparency, accountability, and community-centered programming.
In 2023, 90¢ from each dollar donated went directly toward programs serving those in need. 4¢ went to administrative costs & 6¢ went to fundraising costs.
