How You’ve Helped Feed Afghan and Pakistani Flood Survivors

5 18 23 help feed afghan pakistan flood survivors

In December 2022, record monsoon floods devastated Pakistan and Afghanistan, displacing 33 million people and flooding over a third of Pakistan’s land mass.

With crops destroyed and livelihoods ruined, Afghan and Pakistani flood victims lost all their means to access and store food. This put them at a critical health risk and left them stuck in a vicious cycle of poverty and insecurity.

Since the beginning of the emergency, we have dispatched emergency relief efforts to the region and in Ramadan 2023. Your charity helped feed both Pakistan flood survivors and Afghanistan flood survivors.

Your Ramadan 2023 sadaqah allowed us to distribute bags of rice to flood survivors living in the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan. A total of 2,000 bags of rice were given to 2,000 families (one bag per family), reaching an estimated 14,000 individuals who ate from the rice you gave them.

Your charity continues to make a difference in food security for victims of the Pakistan floods and Afghanistan floods. Thank you for being there for them this past Ramadan 2023 and beyond.
