The Zakat Foundation of America, through the Vocational Training Center, focuses on empowering women through education. The center, which is active in Turkey and Jordan and helps Syrian refugee women, holds a number of workshops in sewing / knitting, handicrafts and fashion, and accredited courses to teach English and computer science.
