We provide resettlement and social support services that help refugees adapt, access healthcare, legal aid, and transportation, and build stability through case management, cultural orientation, and community engagement programs.
Empower Through Education and Skills Training
We offer English classes, tutoring, citizenship preparation, and vocational training in trades and technology, helping refugees gain skills, find employment, and achieve long-term independence and community contribution.

We help refugees rebuild independence through livelihood programs, job placements, and entrepreneurship support, partnering with employers to provide skills training, certification, and sustainable income opportunities.

We empower women through childcare, vocational training, health education, and leadership programs, while family initiatives like mentorship, counseling, and parenting workshops promote stability and emotional well-being.

Stories of Change
Bangladesh
Deep in the forests of Gundum Zero Point, Naikhanchori, we met three adult Rohingya refugee sisters living in a single cramped shelter with their elder sister’s family. Orphaned, separated from most siblings, and carrying the heavy burden of loss, fear, and invisibility, they lacked safety, identity, and opportunity. Through our Emergency Relief Health Camp, we provided vital care, emotional support, and resources, empowering them to regain dignity, resilience, self-worth, and hope despite ongoing displacement.
Kenya
Denise, a Congolese refugee and single mother of three, fled her village after a deadly rebel attack. Alone in Nairobi, she faced exploitation, illness, and financial insecurity while trying to sustain her mobile salon business. Since joining RefuSHE, supported by Zakat Foundation of America, Denise has gained business skills, access to loans, and a supportive community. Now a chairlady and entrepreneur, she empowers herself, grows her salon, and dreams of securing education and a better future for her children.
USA
Bashir, an Afghan refugee in Chicago, arrived with his family, facing language barriers and financial struggles. Through our Afghan Cultural Center Inc. (ACCI), he joined the Tesla Training Center’s electrical program, gaining hands-on skills and confidence to pursue engineering. Equipped with technical knowledge and renewed self-belief, Bashir is determined to secure a stable job, achieve his dreams, and contribute meaningfully to his community, embodying the resilience and potential of refugees overcoming immense challenges.
