Yemeni civilians are facing one of the largest humanitarian crises in the world. More than half of the population is in dire need of food aid.
Death tolls have risen above 10,000, a third of which are children. Yemeni civilians are facing severe famine and the largest cholera outbreak the world has ever seen. With no access to clean water and sanitation, more than 5,000 people are falling ill every day with symptoms of acute diarrhea/cholera. Making matters worse, more than half of all health facilities have been shut down or are only partially functional, leaving the Yemeni people without access to direly needed healthcare.
Zakat Foundation of America has been providing urgent relief to the Yemeni people since the start of this brutal conflict. Through our international as well local partnerships based in #Yemen, Zakat Foundation of America has secured the survival of children, mothers, and communities by delivering severely needed food and water. But the situation continues to worsen, and the need for aid continues to rise.
