CHICAGO (CBS) — A grocery distribution in Chicago is getting kids fresh food that will feed them for days.
The Zakat Foundation hosted the event Wednesday morning at Ace Amandia Charter High School” at 68th and Washtenaw in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood.
It included 8,000 eight pounds of fresh produce, dairy foods and non-perishables to guarantee breakfast and lunch six days out of the week for each child.
