Every year since the start of the civil war in 2011, Zakat Foundation of America has entered Syria to provide emergency food and medical aid to refugees and IDPs inside the country. This year is no exception.
A convoy of trucks carrying Ramadan food packages with fresh provisions recently made its way into the war-torn country, delivering 10 containers carrying 250,000 pounds of food to families in need. At a cost of $60, one food package can provide a month’s worth of iftars for a whole family.
As it has always done, Zakat Foundation of America will strive to reach those who have been left behind, who are in danger, and who are in the most remote, hard-to-reach locations - wherever they may be - so that no one is forgotten this Ramadan. We invite you to open the doors of mercy this Ramadan by providing food packages to families in need - in Syria and around the world.
