Mariam Coulibaly Ndiaye

Mariam Coulibaly Ndiaye is currently and since 2013, the Country Representative of Zakat Foundation of America (ZFA) in Mali, covering also ZFA interventions in Guinea and Mauritania.

Prior to the opening of the Zakat office, and since her retirement from the UN in 2010, Mariam was Consultant and Facilitator for a variety of events with the UN and other Organizations. Her last position with UNICEF was Country Representative in Dakar, Senegal where she served from September 2008 to December 2009, before retiring from active service with the UN. She also served as Country Representative successively in Yaounde, Cameroun (2004-2007) and in Ndjamena, Chad (2007-2008).

Before her assignment as Representative in Cameroun, Mariam C. NDiaye was Regional Human Resource Officer in the West and Central Africa Regional Office (WCARO) from 2000 to 2004.  In this capacity, she advised the Regional Director and the Heads of the 24 country offices within the region on human resource planning, development and management, in support of the country office programme management and administration.

Mariam Coulibaly Ndiaye is a national of Mali.  She holds a Licence in Law with specialization in Labor Law and Financial Management, from the University of Sorbonne, Paris, a Certificate in Development Management from the University of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and a Master’s Degree in Personnel Management from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

Mariam Coulibaly Ndiaye is a trained and seasoned facilitator as well as a recognized team builder who assisted several country offices and UNCountry Teams providing also assistance to various organizations in the area of Human Resources Management, and the specific domains of competency based recruitment, performance management, career counselling, coaching, balancing professional and personal development, preparing to retirement, just to name a few.
