Recent events around the world have shown that discrimination and violence is only on the rise - but a number of organizations are coming together to do something about it.
Viral Peace, with the support of Zakat Foundation of America, will be hosting a two-day workshop on how social media strategies can prevent hate and extremism.
Instructors will focus on strategy building, enhancing social media skills, and how to launch your own campaign.
The workshop is open to students and will take place at the UIC Medical Center this upcoming weekend.
