Response to Humanitarian Crisis

Kosovo continues to face post-conflict challenges, with some communities, particularly minorities, returnees, and Roma populations, experiencing chronic vulnerabilities related to poverty, discrimination, and limited access to services. While there is no large-scale displacement or acute humanitarian crisis, the return of displaced populations remains gradual due to security, poverty, and infrastructure constraints. Certain northern communities also face localized challenges that require ongoing support. Zakat Foundation of America donors continue to support vulnerable groups through programs like the Seasonal Islamic Giving Program, providing nutritious meals during Ramadan and meat in Uhdiyah-Qurbani seasons. Chronic post-war legacies, youth unemployment, and regional tensions persist, but national and international efforts maintain stability, economic growth, and access to essential services.
