Now into our second decade of relief work in Kenya, Zakat Foundation of America donors and relief specialists provide a complete range of services to the poor and beleaguered of this crucial East African nation. 

During the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic, Zakat Foundation workers and volunteers are equipping frontline health care professionals and exposed essential workers with crucial PPE (personal protective equipment, such as medical grade masks, gowns, and gloves). Kenya, though resource rich, has suffered calamities of drought in areas as well as a massive locust infestation that has destroyed crucial harvests. You have enabled Zakat Foundation to step in with emergency relief to help people in these and other crises. 

Kenya’s refugees and displaced have further benefited from our earliest and ongoing successful wealth-establishing Livestock Animal Husbandry Program. With your support, our aid professionals have also increased the country’s water security by digging communal Water Wells as Sadaqah Jariyah, particularly in previously undeveloped and hard-to-reach rural villages. Both aid efforts have proven crucial to the essential resettlement of refugees and the displaced.
