Since 2003, we have provided food assistance to and created a range of sustainability programs for Burkina Faso’s mostly poor, agrarian, fast-growing youthful population of nearly 21 million.
Food Assistance centers each year on providing the nation’s perennially food insecure, fasting families with Ramadan Iftar meals for the entire month and thousands of pounds of Udhiyah (Qurbani) sacrifice of freshly slaughtered locally raised cattle, professionally butchered and hand-delivered to thousands on Eid al-Adha.
Our Sustainability projects include Zakat Foundation’s Livestock Animal Husbandry Program and Water Wells as Sadaqah Jariyah. We also provide Emergency Relief among its 21,000 refugees (mostly from neighboring Mali) and its nearly 1 million Internally Displaced Peoples (IDPs), as well as seasonal relief for the landlocked West African nation, which suffers from chronic drought, with some 80% of its people subsistence farmers, mostly of cotton.
Delivering urgent food in Ramadan & year round to relieve starvation.
A Sadaqah Jariyah that provides clean water to communities.
Additional opportunities to provide more aid throughout the world.
