Zakat Foundation In Kosovo

After years of tense ethnic conflict throughout the region during the 1990s, Kosovo declared its independence in 2008. Today, its economy is heavily dependent on aid. Zakat Foundation of America has offered its Seasonal Islamic Giving Program in Kosovo to alleviate the needs of the people in this region.

These Ramadan meals feed thousands for the entire month, followed by the distribution of thousands of pounds of Udhiyah (Qurbani) sacrifice annually from local livestock, slaughtered, and hand-delivered to hundreds of families on Eid al-Adha.
