Development Director (New York)

The Development Director will spearhead development efforts as Zakat Foundation of America (ZF) continues to grow. A new positon in the New York/East Coast area, the Director will have the opportunity to build the development function. He/She will oversee all ZF New York/East Coast fundraising, including major individual donors, corporate, foundations, UN agencies, diplomats and special events.

This will involve designing and building processes and systems as well as managing them and delivering increased revenue and partnerships for ZF. This will include but not limited to pursuing event-sponsorship opportunities, organizing fundraising events and activities, building institutional relationships and
developing and expanding donor and volunteer databases. The position is based in our New York Office and will report directly to the Executive Director.

Communications Manager (Chicago)

The Communications Manager will be responsible for managing communications projects and the day-today operations of the Communications Department. The Communications Manager works closely with the Director of Communications and members of the Communications Department to produce and disseminate material to garner public support for programs of Zakat Foundation of America. The Communications reports directly to the Director of Communications.

Public Relations Coordinator (Chicago)

This position is responsible for being the spokesperson for Zakat Foundation of America (ZF) with the media and government. The Public Relations Coordinator works closely with the Communications Director to present an accurate depiction of ZF’s mission and values.

The Public Relations Coordinator must thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly comprehend and act on changing priorities when necessary. This position requires the ability to prioritize projects and tasks with little supervision.

Orphan Sponsorship Programs Coordinator (Chicago)

The Orphan Sponsorship Programs (OSP) Coordinator manages the orphans program worldwide through supporting current programs improve efficiency, troubleshoot challenges in maintaining standards of care as well expanding program into other countries.

The OSP Coordinator is supervised by the Director of Programs and collaborates with the Donor Relations Coordinator to update donors on their sponsored orphans.

Receptionist (Chicago)

The receptionist is the first point of contact at Zakat Foundation of America (ZFA) and is integral in forming a positive and
warm first impression for guests, businesses, and callers. The receptionist answers and accurately directs phone calls professionally, greets visitors positively and maintains the programming and maintenance of the telephone system and handles all mail. provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. In addition to those responsibilities, he/she will take on administrative projects and tasks assigned by the HR Manager and/or Executive Director.
