Fundraising/Development Director (New York)

The Fundraising/Development Director will spearhead development efforts as Zakat Foundation of America (ZF) continues to grow.A new position in the New York/East Coast area, the Director will have the opportunity to build the development function. He/She will oversee all ZF New York/East Coast fundraising, including major individual donors, corporate, foundations, UN agencies, diplomats and special events. This will involve designing and building processes and systems as well as managing them and delivering increased revenue and partnerships for ZF. This will include but not limited to pursuing event-sponsorship opportunities, organizing fundraising events and activities, building institutional relationships and developing and expanding donor and volunteer databases. The position is based in our New York Office and will report directly to the Executive Director.

Videographer/Photographer – Turkey

The Videographer/Photographer will be responsible for capturing photos and video footage for Zakat Foundation of America’s (ZF) programs and events. The Videographer/Photographer will be based in ZF Turkey Office and work closely with the ZF Communications Dept. in Chicago, IL. He/she should be able to travel to project sites in Turkey as well as other project locations in other countries. Start date will be immediate.

Program Officer – Turkey (Syrian Refugees)

The Program Officer is responsible for assisting the Country Program Manager in the implementation of ZF humanitarian programs for Syrians living as IDPs inside Syria or as refugees in the neighboring countries in a timely and efficient manner. Moreover, the Program Officer will be responsible for documentation of the program progress reports and assist in identifying communities and program interventions. He/she will also be responsible for coordinating/conducting needs assessment of the target communities.

This position will report directly to the Country Program Manager. The incumbent must have the ability to work with a team, and show the utmost respect and professionalism when dealing with impoverished communities.

Admin & Finance Assistant – Turkey

The Admin & Finance Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and financial support to the ZF office in Turkey.  The incumbent reports directly to the Program Manager. He/she will be assisting the Country Office in the administration and human resources tasks.
