On May 27, Zakat Foundation of America officially opened its brand new Unity Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its corporate office in Bridgeview, Illinois.
The Unity Center will serve as a space for education, dialogue, and engagement for the local community as Zakat Foundation of America aims to enrich and engage south Chicago through educational and cultural programs.
At the grand opening, Zakat Foundation of America introduced its newest facility to a number of prominent community leaders, religious leaders, and government dignitaries. “We are not building just for tomorrow … but we are building for the next generation.” said Halil Demir, Executive Director of Zakat Foundation of America.
