Your gifts expand our Orphan Sponsorship Program; robust Vocational Training Centers; wealth-creating Livestock Program; Water Wells as Sadaqah Jariyah program; and feed thousands during Ramadan and again for Eid al-Adha.

Zakat Foundation of America established its West Africa Regional Office in Ghana nearly a decade ago. Your gifts underwrite our growing Orphan Sponsorship Program for Ghanian children, keeping them with their widowed mothers or family members; robust Vocational Training Centers that teach sewing and help graduates set up and market their own tailoring businesses; a wealth-creating Livestock Animal Husbandry Program; a thriving Water Wells as Sadaqah Jariyah program that increases the countries water security; yearly Iftar meals that feed thousands for the entire month of Ramadan; and the distribution of thousands of pounds of Udhiyah (Qurbani) sacrifice annually from local livestock, slaughtered and hand-delivered to hundreds of families on Eid al-Adha.

In addition, Zakat Foundation donors have helped Ghanian women build two exemplary processing plants — the Jugboi Women’s Cassava Cooperative and the Bole Women’s Cassava Coop, which together support more than 120 families and send their children to school. Zakat Foundation donors also establish mosques, schools, and libraries for poor Muslim communities throughout Ghana.
