A year ago, Bashirah Mack, the Orphan Programs Coordinator at Zakat Foundation of America, was given the task of establishing a new Orphan Sponsorship Program (OSP) in Pakistan.
After months of research, coordination, and hard work, this is the result: Orphan Sponsorship Expands into Pakistan-Zakat Foundation of America is proud to announce the official launch of an OSP in Pakistan with our partner Al-Khidmat.
“Al-Khidmat has always been very responsive and they already have an extensive network in the country where they’re active in every province” said Mack.
The OSP in Pakistan will sponsor over 100 boys and girls across Pakistan’s major cities including Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi. Under Zakat Foundation of America’s OSP, sponsored children will receive assistance with shelter, food, clothing, education, and healthcare.
