In the conflict zones of the world, one aspect often overlooked is the impact of war on the human psychology - especially for children. In Gaza, Zakat Foundation of America partnered with Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) to provide comprehensive mental health support to the youth.
With trauma, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) prevalent in Gaza, PCRF are treating families with therapeutic sessions and medicine and encouraging families to express themselves through words, drawings, and movement. This year, Zakat Foundation of America and PCRF will also offer a summer camp program to provide additional psychological support.
