Zakat Foundation of America Hosts Community BBQ in Washington D.C.

In the heart of the nation's capital, Zakat Foundation of America recently organized its 4th Annual Fourth of July BBQ.

The BBQ was open to the general public and over 200 meals were provided including Turkish-style kebabs.

Zakat Foundation of America partnered with the Islamic Heritage Museum in Washington D.C. and the Turkish American Steering Committee to serve food the needy in the D.C. area.

Zakat Foundation of America continues to be engaged with community work across the country as Zakat Foundation of America’s U.S.

Programs team prepares to launch the upcoming back-to-school backpack program which will distribute essential school supplies to inner-city youth.
