Zakat Foundation of America Employees, Volunteers Climb Willis Tower

Zakat Foundation of America employees and volunteers attended and completed SkyRise Chicago, a charity event in which participants climb all flights of stairs in the Willis Tower.

The event, for which Zakat Foundation was one of the sponsors, raised money for the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. The Lab, formerly the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), is the global leader in physical medicine and rehabilitation and has been ranked the "No. 1 Rehabilitation Hospital in America" by U.S. News & World Report every year since 1991.

Upon opening in March 2017, the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab became the first-ever "translational" research hospital in which clinicians, scientists, innovators and technologists work together in the same space, surrounding patients, discovering new approaches and applying (or "translating") research real time.

Supporting the AbilityLab through SkyRise Chicago is one of the ways Zakat Foundation contributes to improving health and wellness in the United States and abroad.
