Zakat Foundation of America Aids Victims of Oklahoma Tornado

Dozens of people, including several children, were killed after a tornado touched ground near Oklahoma City Monday afternoon. Hundreds of people have been hospitalized due to related injuries. The destructive tornado was estimated at travelling between 166 to 200 mph as stated by the National Weather Service. First responders and rescue teams continue to search for survivors under collapsed schools and surrounding areas.

Zakat Foundation of America remains active on the grounds in Oklahoma. Many people are living without shelter, clothing and electricity. Zakat Foundation of America remains committed to the value of helping those in need by providing humanitarian aid. Donate now to help those affected by this destructive disaster.

The following items for Oklahoma Tornado Relief are being collected:

  • Tooth brushes, tooth paste, soap, shampoo, hand sanitizer and other hygiene items

  • Diapers, wipes, formula, baby bottles

  • Toilet paper and Tissues

  • Bottled Water

  • Canned goods

  • Non-perishable snack such as cookies, pre-packaged items, etc.

  • We ask that you do not donate used clothing.

If you live outside Oklahoma City and within driving distance (up to 5 hours) Zakat Foundation of America will assist in the transport of needed items for those affected by the tornado in Oklahoma.
