Zakat Foundation of America was a dedicated sponsor of the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) Run for Peace event that took place on Sept. 18, 2016 and some employees were Running for the Children of Palestine.
On a bright Sunday morning, several organizations and volunteers of every age gathered for the 5k charity run to help raise funds for medical needs in Gaza. This year, volunteers helped fundraise for Gaza’s first pediatric center. “We are honored to have such a wonderful and supportive community,” PCRF stated on its Facebook page.
Zakat Foundation of America’s support of PCRF continues throughout the year on a number of projects, including providing support through mental health programs. Additionally, as part of a separate effort in support of Palestine with UNRWA, Zakat Foundation of America is also raising funds to rebuild homes in Gaza.
