Free fresh vegetables provided by the Zakat Foundation were distributed to Willmar community members Thursday by members from the Islamic Society of Willmar and the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Minnesota).
CAIR-Minnesota and the Zakat Foundation supplied a total of around 1,000 families with free vegetable boxes from areas including St. Cloud, Faribault and Rochester in addition to Willmar.
