Zakat Foundation of America distributed 1,200 warm coats and blankets to residents of the Hubli-Dharwad City slums in North Karnataka, India in early February, 2014. Temperatures can drop into the 40’s in winter, endangering people who are already weakened by perennial hunger and lack of warm clothing.
