This Udhiya/Qurbani season, Zakat Foundation of America provided fresh meat to over half a million people in 30 countries. Through the generous contribution of donors, Zakat Foundation of America was able to provide Udhiya/Qurbani to beneficiaries all over the world including Syria, Myanmar (Burma) and the Dadaab Refugee Camp in Kenya.
Zakat Foundation of America prides itself on providing only fresh, never frozen, meat to recipients of Udhiya/Qurbani. Zakat Foundation of America purchased healthy livestock from local farmers in each country and all the goats, sheep and cows were well-maintained throughout the entire program. Through careful planning and partnership, Zakat Foundation of America was able to ensure that proper Islamic guidelines were followed from donation to distribution.
