Over the weekend, Zakat Foundation of America another yearly Back-To-School Campaign Begins at Masjid Al-Taqwa on the South Side of Chicago.
Zakat Foundation of America gave the mosque a grant to purchase supplies and then distribute it to the youth who will return to school in the coming weeks.
The event attracted many families from the local neighborhood who also received a free lunch, clothes, and haircuts for the children.
Zakat Foundation of America will continue backpack distributions across the Chicagoland area in the coming weeks.
