Kaoutar’s life changed drastically at the tender age of 5 when both her parents required serious medical attention. Her mother was hospitalized with a leg injury while her father struggled to take care of the family despite having ear cancer. He lost his battle with the disease which posed both psychological and financial challenges for the family.

Kaoutar, now an active and lively fourth grader, thrives academically while living with her mother and two brothers in a modest rented house. She spends her days juggling school, neighborhood support classes, and engaging in recreational and educational activities on Sunday mornings. These activities provide her with an outlet to socialize, integrate into society, and cope with the challenges stemming from the loss of her father.
