Hajj is here. And it’s all about this: Qurbani.
A freewill sacrifice that pulls us closer to God. We do it just like Abraham, God’s peace upon him.
With a sacrifice of a magnificent offering (Sûrat Al-Saffât, 37:107).
Qurbani (kûr·ba’·nē) noun: Sacrifice.
Arabic root qaraba: To draw near (to God)
Udhiya is our largest global fresh meat distribution. Locally raised, fresh meat (never frozen, never canned) is hand delivered on Eid day to food-insecure people in nearly 50 countries around the world.
That they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of ALLAH on known days over what He has provided for them of cattle. So eat of them and feed the poor.
