The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him) once said, “The best charity is giving water to drink” (Al-Bukhari). Clean water is an essential resource for every community on earth, and therefore Zakat Foundation of America continues to keep the water well construction project at the forefront of its developmental programs by new water wells installed - North Pakistan .
Recently, Zakat Foundation of America helped partners in Pakistan install five new water wells across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Beneficiaries were also involved with the construction process so they could manage and maintain the wells. Each well has the capacity to impact at least 500 beneficiaries.
