About Me

Imran Ansary is an educator, journalist and international security analyst with a focus on international humanitarian causes. He has worked in Bangladesh’s media and communications sector for more than 18 years, covering the Middle East and Rohingya crises, both from the United Nations headquarters. He is a member of the United Nations Correspondent Association, the International Studies Association, and the International Political Science Association. He completed his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh before moving to the United States, where he completed his master’s in national security studies at New Jersey City University.
