Yemen
Located in the Arabian Peninsula, Yemen borders Saudi Arabia to the North, Oman to the East, and the Red Sea to the West. Yemen stands as the most impoverished and least developed country in the Middle East with an unemployment rate of 35% and poverty rate of 45.2%.
In 2011, as unemployment and poverty reached modern day peaks, many Yemenis rushed the streets in protest against government. Inspired by other protests in the region, it has led to sustained conflict, worsening the living conditions in Yemen.
