Emergency Relief
Turkey experiences the most powerful earthquake in more than a decade. The earthquake has been reported to be between 7.2 and 7.5 on the Richter scale. The most affected area is the Van province, where over 260 people have lost their lives and 1300 have been injured.
Nearly a thousand buildings have collapsed in the province, burying many under the rubble. Through our office in Istanbul, Zakat Foundation of America has responded to the aftermath of the earthquakes with a team of responders who have provided the victims emergency assistance.
