Ivory Coast Relief
Emergency Relief
Violence broke out in the Ivory Coast in November 2010 following tense presidential elections. The situation has grown more complex as the conflict ignited longstanding ethnic disputes and significantly increased abusive attacks on foreign migrant workers.
So far more than 150,000 refugees have fled the Ivory Coast. The majority have sought refuge in Liberia and Ghana. The United Nations predicts that humanitarian crisis in the region will continue for months and much assistance will be needed.
ZF's Ghana office has began providing assistance to refugees at Camp Berekum just inside Ghana's border with the Ivory Coast where 1,200 Ivoirians including women and children now live.
The needy and displaced in the Ivory Coast and Ghana appreciate your support of ZF's Ivory Coast Relief Campaign. Please donate today.
