Ramadan
The Blessed Month of Ramadan is a time to awaken compassion and solidarity with the hungry and poverty-stricken men, women, and children around the world. Zakat Foundation enables Muslim donors to celebrate and give thanks during the Month of Ramadan by facilitating food distribution to families in need.
During the Month of Ramadan, Zakat Foundation:
- Provides daily public community Iftar-dinners in poor communities and homeless shelters
- Distributes food packages to needy families. (Food package components depend on region of distribution)
- Delivers hot daily Iftar-dinners to the homes of poor families to ensure their privacy and dignity
- Assists Muslims to correctly donate the obligatory Zakat ul-Fitr and then distributes the donation to the poor and needy on their behalf
Eid Gifts for Poor Children and Orphans
During Eid ul-Fitr, Zakat Foundation distributes Eid Gifts to orphans and poor children in countries where we work.
