A strong earthquake of a 6.4 magnitude struck villages in the Baluchistan province in southwestern Pakistan before dawn Wednesday October 29, 2008. Zakat Foundation and its local partner have set up a field office in the city of Quetta, the epicenter of the earthquake. We have established a tent village, “Khuda Ki Basti” at Kech/Turbat in the Baluchistan province. Zakat Foundation continues to deliver aid to those families left homeless by the earthquake.
