In 2004, the historic city of Bam was struck by a large scale earthquake and many lives were lost. Under the supervision of Iran’s Red Crescent, Zakat Foundation was alongside many other international organizations providing aid to the survivors. Zakat Foundation was able to provide 15 tons of food supplies to the needy in the area.
