Nepal is a small landlocked country nestling in the Himalayas. It is the world’s only Hindu kingdom, though the population also consists of Buddhists and Muslims. Himalayan Mountain range covers 80% of the land. It was Arab and Muslim traders who introduced Islam to Nepal. The majority of the Muslims live in the mountainous areas adjacent to the border with India.
Muslims are deprived from work in the national army and administration and very few are permitted to have government jobs. And this is the primary reason for stagnant socio-economic movement.
