Food items distributed among low-income families in Sirajganj

Some 340 low-income families in Belkuchi upazila of Sirajganj get food items on the occasion of Ramadan. Zakat Foundation of America, Bangladesh distributed the food items on the premises of Belkuchi Degree College on Saturday afternoon. The food items included 10 kilograms of rice, potatoes, lentils, chickpeas, sugar and Soybean oil.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Afia Sultana Keya, Gazi Saidur Rahman, president of the local press club, Rezaul Karim, program manager of the foundation were present. According to the sources, Zakat Foundation of America is implementing various humanitarian services in 43 countries of the world.

In continuation of this, on the occasion of Ramadan, this foodstuff is being distributed among 2,200 helpless and poor families in 4 districts of Bangladesh. 

Of these, food items have been distributed among 590 needy families in Belkuchi and Shahjadpur upazilas of Sirajganj districts.
